MetroHealth Maint Auto Repairer-Facilities Engineering in CLEVELAND, Ohio

Location: METROHEALTH MEDICAL CENTER

Biweekly Hours: 80.00

Shift: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

Summary:

Inspects/repairs/maintains the safe operating conditions of all motor vehicles and other grounds equipment. Upholds mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

Qualifications:

Required: HS Diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam. Meets one of the following: • Possess a Mechanic Certification through the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE). • Possess a Journeyman’s Auto Mechanic License. • Documented 8 years of experience as an automobile mechanic. 4 years of documented experience as an automobile mechanic. Possess a current, valid Driver’s License. Solid problem solving skills, and able to use sound judgment. Good interpersonal skills. Basic personal computer skills. Basic math skills. Ability to follow directions. Ability to work independently/with minimal supervision, or as part of a team. Willing and able to adjust from the standard work schedule as needed for operational coverage, including days that are not normally worked, and at locations not normally assigned.

Preferred: 5 years of commercial experience as an automobile mechanic. Possess a Mechanic Certification through the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE). Prior Healthcare industry experience.

Physical Requirements: May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day. May need to sit or stand for extended periods. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Ability to climb intermittently during the day. Ability to push/pull 70-150 pounds. Ability to lift 10-40 pounds. Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids. Requires some exposure to chemicals and cleaning products.
